"Pacia" is pronounced "pay-shuh". Think of "patience" or "Patricia".
I started drawing floor plans and building architectural models when I was 10. However, the adults in my life were simply unable to see a young girl as a future architect. I eventually studied computer science, interning at IBM and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Then I stepped away from office work to raise and homeschool my son.
Now I am finally able to pursue architecture as a career. I have excelled in school and look forward to using my talents in the service of real projects. I am particularly interested in historic buildings, both preservation and adaptive reuse.
